1. Best book of 2010?
I can’t just pick one, that’s too hard!
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison
Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs
Magic Bites & Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews
Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Les enchantements d’Ambremer by Pierre Pevel
2. Worst book of 2010?
This is easy : Beastly by Alex Flinn! This was really really bad, the story wasn’t interesting, totally predictable, and the characters were vapid. I hope not to read that kind of shit in 2011!
3. Most Disappointing Book of 2010?
Unfortunately, there is more than one. Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey, the 1st part was really funny but the 2nd part was just a lame young-adult romance… Dark Lover by J.R. Ward was soooo boring with those 700 pages of phony romance, urk ! I could also pick Anita Blake’s books 10 to 15 by Laurell K. Hamilton who turned her brilliant paranormal-thriller series in a tedious paranormal-porn-with-thriller-background series.
4. Most surprising (in a good way!) book of 2010?
Jaz Parks series by Jennifer Rardin, original and funny. Les enchantements d’Ambremer by Pierre Pevel (French author), a great steam-punk novel brilliantly written.
5. Book you recommended to people most in 2010?
ha ha, am I such a pusher ? ^^; I think it’s Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong that I recommended the most…
6. Best series you discovered in 2010?
I’d say Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews because I’m totally fond of this kind of urban-fantasy world. I must add The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, Enola Holmes by Nancy Springer and Rachel Morgan by Kim Harrison.
7. Favorite new authors you discovered in 2010?
Ilona Andrews, Jim Butcher & Kim Harrison.
8. Most hilarious read of 2010?
I’m still hesitating… One for the money by Janet Evanovich and Once bitten, twice shy by Jennifer Rardin both made me laugh a lot, as Shopaholic and sister by Sophie Kinsella.
9. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2010?
Without a doubt : Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
10. Book you most anticipated in 2010?
The Hunger Games books because I heard about them a long time ago and I was eager to read them in French. Mercy Thompson books #4&5 by Patricia Briggs because I love this series!
11. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2010?
Indisputably, Fallen by Lauren Kate. This books was gorgeous and the cover was soft as a peach (French edition). That’s too bad that I didn’t really like the story…
12. Most memorable character in 2010?
Stephanie Plum’s grandma who remind me of Fran Fine’s grandma Yetta in The Nanny TV show. Totally crazy old ladies! :D And Clay in the Otherworld series because he’s super hot!
13. Most beautifully written book in 2010?
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami was very well written, I didn’t like it though…
14. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2010?
No one in particular. I’d say that the last paranormal YA romance novels I read made me realize that I’m done with that kind of books. Now, I want to read interesting, original and thrilling books. No more ok-books.
15. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2010 to finally read?
One for the money by Janet Evanovich (1st published in 1994!!!!) and Les enchantements d’Ambremer by Pierre Pevel (1st published in 2003).
